Biohazardous浪费
Regulated medical waste (RMW) is commonly referred to as biohazard waste. It is important to note that RMW is regulated by the Department of Transportation and we must adhere to the procedures outlined below regarding its proper disposal.
The following items are defined as biohazardous waste and may be disposed of in a regulated medical waste box:
- Waste from animals that have been intentionally exposed to pathogens or body parts that have been exposed to recombinant DNA
- Synthetic or recombinant DNA/RNA waste
- Bulk human blood or byproducts or human bodily fluids
- PPE or culture dishes that have been contaminated with a biohazard

Sharps must be placed in a sharps container and properly shut prior to adding it to a regulated medical waste container.

We will collect hazardous chemical waste, but each department is responsible for submitting a 化学废物收集 Form for tracking and auditing purposes.
The following rules must be complied with for EHS to arrange for chemical waste pickup:
Incompatible materials shall be segregated in separate boxes (e.g., acids/bases, organics/oxidizers, flammable liquids/oxidizers).
Unknowns and high-hazard materials such as cyanides, 有机鱼过氧化物, 引火物, 水reactives, and explosives must be packaged separately regardless of quantity.

Indoor Air Quality Assessment
EHS has established standard procedures for the management of indoor air quality concerns. Any air quality concerns that potentially pose an immediate threat to personal health and safety must be reported to the 圣澳门金沙赌城线上游戏 Policy Department at 210-999-7000 or by calling 9-1-1.

Ergonomics involves designing and arranging work spaces so people work efficiently and safely. It is used to evaluate how you do tasks and to help identify risk factors that might lead to injury over time. Once identified, the next step is to find the best solution to eliminate risks or mitigate hazards.
We provide the following ergonomic assessments:
- Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA)
- Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA)
